Learning How To Run All Over Again

Today–after waking up at 4:30, putting almost two hundred clicks on a 24′ truck, and getting into an argument with a hobo over who was wearing the better hat–I ran 5k. It wasn’t fast, and it certainly wasn’t pretty–I alternated running and walking every two minutes–but it was also the furthest I’ve gone since the surgery.

Plus, running 5k was a 32-for-32 item…and now that I’m hanging onto 32 by my fingernails it needed to get done. Up next: I finish Paradise Lost (nine books down, three to go) and put the finishing touches on yet another Ride to Conquer Cancer!
