I wanted to write a more substantial update earlier today–then discovered that my company has decided to ban the use of Blogger from the office. So my latest rant against the shootout was shelved, and now I’m off to bed before flying to Calgary tomorrow. I don’t know what kind of computer access I’ll have once I’m there; I’m assuming it’ll be minimal, and besides which I’ll probably be too busy to write any sort of update between now and when I come back. So this might be it til Monday; if that’s the case, have a great weekend.
By the way, if you get the chance, two great documentaries for you to watch. One you’ve heard about: Al Gore’s anti-global warming opus, An Inconvenient Truth. The other isn’t as well known: Jesus Camp, a movie about the radical sect of evangelical Christians who are trying to remap the American political landscape. Both provide fascinating looks at the modern United States, and they’re well worth your time. Let me know what you think.
